TI Gets Back Out of Prison…Again….Sort of
TMZ is reporting that rap superstar TI has been released from prison again and sent to his original Atlanta halfway house. His attorney, Steve Sadow, said this:
“We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing B.O.P. officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta.”
Sadow also said that, “T.I. will be released from custody on Sept. 29, and then will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for a period of 1 year.”
TI was released from prison two weeks ago, only to be sent right back. Prison officials later revealedthat the reason they sent the artist back to prison is because they thought that he had executives from his new reality show on the bus with him. He was only allowed to legally travel to the halfway house with his wife.
A group of activists have filed court documents on TI’s behalf, claiming that authorities have a vendetta against him and are seeking to violate his civil rights. There is no word as to the status of that filing.
